"How a Pair of Glasses Can Change a Life"

Have you ever thought about how crucial it is to be able to see clearly? Many of us take vision for granted, but imagine for a moment:

• Going to school is a struggle because you can't read what's written on the blackboard.
• Simple everyday activities become a challenge.
• The journey becomes dangerous and you can't spot life-threatening animals.

In Tanzania, over 11 million people live in poverty - for them, glasses are a luxury when you survive on barely £7 a day.

Better Vision For Africa has created an international Eyewear Library that provides free glasses to those who need them most. The glasses are collected in Denmark and sent to Africa, where local optician students prepare them as part of their education.

We don't stop here. With only around 450 opticians for 65 million people in Tanzania, we send Danish opticians to make sure glasses reach those most in need.
